Class Evaluation

One thing I really enjoyed about this class this semester was that were learned to type efficiently and quickly.I also enjoy that there is such a wonderful teacher guiding us through each assignment, and how we can be better people, so that we can CTR 24/7. It is a good class with a good atmosphere and we learn something new all the time. One thing that I slightly disliked is that we do the same thing every day, without anything interesting or fun to it. I do know that school isn't about fun and games most of the time, but it wouldn't hurt to add new assignments to the agenda. However, I do enjoy when Haymore rewards us with free time when our behavior is splendid.

I can honestly say that I tried very hard in this class. I put my best thoughts into all my reflections in our Student Success Statements. At times, I would get off task, maybe by checking my phone or talking, but I always got my work done. I don't like to let any distractions distract me from being successful, so I try my hardest to ignore my peers that are trying to get in the way of me doing work that is well-done.

Lastly, I feel that I am truly committed to being a CTR person, because ever since I came into this class, I already feel the goodness and purity within my heart. It doesn't matter who is watching or not, when you do good you feel good. I also learned that there can be rewards along with choosing the right. The best things come to you when you least expect it because people know when you are an honest, kind person. Choosing the right isn't just a motto, it's a way of life.The life that I'm living now, thanks to CTR, is better than when I didn't know about CTR.I didn't know that being good can benefit you in many ways. I've learned to be honest, humble, kind, responsible, and many more desirable traits. I would like to take this moment to thank Mr. Haymore for being such a kind teacher and leader, by leading me into this better state of mind. I have felt great ever since I chose to CTR !!

IDP showcase

My IDP experience was very good. I was a little bit nervous at first, but the judge was friendly.I learned about the topic Malaria. Malaria is a disease that is contracted when you are bitten by a female mosquito carrying Malaria.I feel that I did excellent on my presentation. As our creative element, we did 2 children books.We all had to work very heard to get the IDP project as a team. We all participated in the power point, and supported each other throughout the presentation.

Reflection: One example of doing the right is by helping an old lady cross the street. Even if you don't benefit from it, you should always choose the right.Another example of doing the right thing is obeying your parents.You should always listen to your parents because it is the right thing to do.

You should always do the right thing because you never know who is looking. Doing the right thing shows you are honest and responsible.The right thing may not always be easy to do but you should still do it. It shows your character, whether you CTR or Ctw.Doing the right thing will always be the best thing to do.Character is doing the right thing when nobody is looking, and still doing the right thing when everybody is looking.

This quote is explaining that there will be no consequences for actions that are right. For example, if you do you're chores at home, you will not need to fear that your mom will scold you.Another example would be if you believe in the Lord and pray often, you will not be scared in the dark.

You should always be a CTR person whether there is consequences or not. Choosing the right isn't just a motto, its a way of life.If you can CTR 24/7 you shouldn't have to fear anything wrong because you are going down the right path. Fear only stands in the way of achieving your goals, so you should be a good person with no fears. If you have no fear, you are more likely to be successful.You can accomplish anything when your'e heart is pure and fear doesn't rule you. If you do whats right no matter who is watching, you wont fear anything because you are choosing the right.

An example of this quote would be if you're parents are going out of town for a week, and you are responsible enough to not throw a party or drink with your friends.Another example would be if you're dad asks you to save some money for him and you spend it, then you could not be trusted

This quote means that if you are responsible, fair, and a CTR person everyone will be able to trust you. If you disobey these rules, you will not be trusted.Being trustworthy means that you have to trust yourself.You should always tell the truth to be trusted.Even if you make a mistake, fix it and don't do it again. You should take responsibility for your actions, even if is difficult.Being reliable means to display a sense of loyalty.

If you are committed to doing your very best, it doesn't matter if you win or lose something, all that matters is that you put in full effort to work to that goal.Also, if you treat people with respect and kindness, you will be treated the same way. Before you say something to someone, think about if that is the way you'd like someone to speak to you, then say it.

Physical Fitness

But we do know what the Greeks knew: that intelligence and skill can only function at the peak of their capacity when the body is healthy and strong."

This quote means that being healthy is a good thing. It is good for your physical fitness, and for your mental health.
Your body will not function at it's full capacity if you don't keep your body healthy.For example, instead of eating Hot Cheetos or candy, you should substitute it with healthy vegetables. For dinner, instead of having pizza, you should have a salad with lots of greens. Calcium is also important because it makes your bones strong. You should never go without eating at breakfast time, because i is the most important meal of the day.If you stay healthy, your mind will also stay strong.You should also incorporate at least an hour of exercise everyday. exercising will help your body stay in shape along with eating healthy foods.

Disneyland
Disneyland Park, originally Disneyland, is the first of two theme parks built at the Disneyland Resort in Anaheim, California, opened on July 17, 1955. It is the only theme park designed and built under the direct supervision of Walt Disney .During Christmas lights fill up the night sky and it is so beautiful. It is a work of art itself, and it is an excellent place to spend time with your family.My personal favorite ride is Splash Mountain. It's a small world is an amazing place, it is so pretty there.Alice in wonderland is another one of my favorite rides, and the mad tea party. Other attractions include the bakery tour, the Disney gallery, and the Sorcerers workshop.I also love going to the Disney gift shop because they have so many cute things.What I admire about Disney is that it is all day fun. The rides at Disneyland are endless, you can never get tired of them.Also, I bring my autograph book whenever I go to get signatures from famous Disney stars: Mickey Mouse, Minnie Mouse, Donald Duck, Pluto, and many more ! I selected this place because it is the happiest place on Earth.

Kindness

An act of kindness would be for example if there are no more seats on the bus and an elderly is standing up, you should offer your seat to them. Another kind thing to do would be to open a door for somebody if they are behind you.These are simple things that contribute to kindness , things you should do on a regular basis without having to think about it.

This quote means that when you are kind, you are a CTR person which exemplifies greatness and gratitude.If you are kind to others, you will also be treated kindly.One reason to be kind is because there can never be enough kindness in the world. The more kindness you give, the more kindness you will receive, especially in times of need.Being kind to others also gives you happiness within your heart, it can make you feel good.Also, if you are kind you will make good friends easier than you would with being mean. Another act of kindness would be to invite a homeless to a warm dinner, and allow them to take a bath in your house.Furthermore, you can donate to local non profit establishments to support the sick, or to support the community around you.On Christmas Day, I have always wished to buy toys, wrap them up, and give them to St. Jude's Children's hospital, because they cannot afford toys, and it puts a smile on their faces, it gives them hope.

Thanksgiving Week

             My thanksgiving weekend was very wonderful & lots of fun. One of the best-loved places I went to was the grove. It is such an amazing place, especially when the very high tree is all lit up when night falls. Then as the tree illuminates all of the stores, there is also many other palm trees that have gorgeous Christmas lights.Santa Claus was also there, putting a smile on kids faces, which made me smile. There was also a trolley that tours around the grove giving passengers a magnificent view. I was extremely jolly when I opened the door to my family on Thanksgiving. We had pocole as our main dish, dumplings as a side dish, and finally some sweet rich classic favorite pumpkin pie.I didn't watch any movies, because I am more into T.V shows. Some of the shows that I watched are Pretty Little Liars and The Walking Dead. I also invested most of my time reading To Kill A MockingBird by Harper Lee, for my 6th period honors English class.I was very grateful to have such a great time with my loved ones, and I am also grateful for everything in this delightful life that God has given us.

An example of this would be if 2 people were playing cards, and one person cheats by taking a card from the deck and wins. The person who won the game lost all integrity, but on the other hand the loser of this game is still a winner because they did the right thing, so the person who truly loses is the one that cheats.

This quote means that it doesn't matter who wins at anything. but how you play fair and take responsibility. If you choose the wrong then that wouldn't be fair, and if you choose the right you will be a good sport and be the winner in the end.This quote can also be interpreted as a win is nothing without playing with integrity. If a person decides to CTW, and cheat then they really didn't accomplish anything at all.Even if you are losing at something you shouldn't CTW, you should just try harder and wish for best luck.Having integrity is more than having moral principles, it is also staying true to the person you are.If you do the right thing in a reliable way, you will always have integrity with you wherever you go.Integrity also means having wholeness in a character, so it reveals your true intentions. Having integrity also means to CTR 24/7.

This quote means list the keys of living with integrity. You should always CTR. Do the right thing, even if no one is watching or if everybody is watching. You should always have the strength to say no when it comes to bad things such as drugs, or alcohol. You should also always have the courage to say no to anything you don't want to do or anything your not comfortable with. Secondly, you should always say the truth, even if it comes with consequences. It is better to say the truth early, than to cover it up with lies that all lead to the truth. You should do the right thing to lead to happiness.It will also lead to success and honesty. But most importantly always remember to do the right thing.

Health Sciences Librarian

Health science librarians help health providers, patients, and students sort through the vast amount of information available.

No I don't think I would like to be one because I am not very into science reading.

1.What is Veteran's Day?
Veteran's Day is a public holiday held on the anniversary of the end of World War I to honor US veterans and victims of all wars. It replaced Armistice Day in 1954.It was made in favor of veterans who fought for our country.

2.When is it?
Veteran's day is on the 11th of November.

3.What is the purpose of Veteran's day?
The concept of this holiday is for the veterans who fought in the past, and the present for our country.

4.Why is it important to show honor on Veteran's Day?
Veteran's Day shows respect for those who were courageous & committed enough, that were willing to give their lives to serve their country.If it weren't for the veterans, our country would probably be in ruins, the least we can do is appreciate all the sacrifice they have made for us.

It amazes me personally the commitment these Veterans have to continuously fight and serve for our country.It is a beautiful thing that we all collaborate and try to honor Veterans whether it is Veterans Day or not, they still deserve praises & respect.

I would like to say thank you to all our Veterans past present and future. I believe we should thank you every day of the year not just on certain days.To me, Veterans Day means; Honor, Respect, and the price we pay or have paid to keep our country free. Those who serve have great respect for our country or they would have never volunteered to protect those who have been left behind.Many veterans sacrifice for our freedom.We should  always remember our Veterans and the people who have serves our country.In a way, Veterans can be seen as our "parents" of the country.For instance, most parents would risk their life for their children, in likewise manner that our veterans are willing to sacrifice their lives for us.

What this quote means is that if you surround yourself with good friends that encourage you to do good things, then you will be a CTR person. However, if you surround yourself with negative people that want to do bad things, they will influence you to do bad things which is choosing the wrong.

An example of this would be a wise student making interactions with other CTR scholars. If this student involves him/herself with delinquents who drink illegally, they would fall into the wrong path.

This quote is saying that the people you hang around at school, or in your neighborhood can influence you in a positive or negative way. They can change your mindset, and possibly your future.An unwise companion will choose the wrong, unlike the wise companion who will choose the right.If you don't want to face the consequences of acting like a fool,then you should surround yourself with wise individuals.If you choose to hang with the right crowd, you will feel encouraged and feel good within yourself to choose the right. Itr is like saying "Show me your friends, and I'll show you your future." This also means that whoever you like to be with now, will be how your future role will play out. If you start with a strong mindset, you will find happiness within yourself, and not get influenced by others.

What this quote means is that even if everyone chooses to do the wrong thing, it doesn't make it right. It will remain wrong, even if it is said to be right. An example of this would be if everyone is drinking at a party, it doesn't make it right because they are choosing the wrong. Also, just because everyone else is doing it doesn't mean that you should do it too.

Another example can be if someone speeds when the street light is red, they are a CTW person. If that person decides to follow the rules, even if everyone else is running red lights then they are automatically a CTR person. No matter who is choosing the right, right will always be right. The same will go for whoever is choosing the wrong, it will always be wrong as a fact. Choosing the right is important no matter what a person is going through or put under. It is also important to follow people that are CTR people instead of people who earn F's in school and do drugs.If everyone is choosing the wrong it is your responsibility to lead the right way .

There will always be challenges including peer pressure, but you have to have a strong mentality and be able to say no to doing wrong things. Remember that choosing the right will lead you to success and happiness within your heart.

Health Educator

Heath educators create programs that encourage health and wellness, and prevent disease. They teach people how to make good health choices, incorporate exercise and physical activity into their lives and avoid harmful behaviors. 

Salary: A median annual wage of $47,490

Education:Most health educator jobs require a bachelor’s degree or higher level of education.

No, I don't think I would like to be one because it does not have a good paying salary, I rather be something else in the medical field.

For example Peter Vidmar probably wanted to go out with friends or play video games, but instead he chose to focus on his main goal. His main goal was to be a gold medal winner at the Olympics.

What this quote means is to avoid distractions by your desires now to reach your most desired goal later. Reaching your future goals is more important that the small ideas you have now.If you get sidetracked at trying to reach your goals, you will never accomplish them.You cant get distracted with present desires because you wont be able to reach your future ones.An example of this would be if instead of not studying for a quiz, you study for hours to get an A on that test, because you really want to get good grades to get accepted into the best college.As you strive to reach your future goals, your actions will shape whether you achieve this goal or not.

Peter Vidmar says to write it down so you wont forget.It is important that we look at this many time because we have to stay focused on our goals.

This means that it is better to be a kind person than to be rich and famous.One example of how making a good name for yourself is more important than great riches is when a presidential election occurs. They are not the richest, even though it may seem that way, but they care more about leading our country.These presidents have been elected for the person they are, and not for riches.

Making a good name for yourself will always outweigh the value that money has. Money creates new opportunities and is very much needed at times, but money will not buy you a reputation nor will you gain respect from others if you are money hungry & the only importance is money.Creating a great name for yourself will always depend on social status and not on your economic status.Also, having a good name will motivate you to carry yourself with pride and have a good ego wherever you go.

"If your so-called friends urge you to do anything you know to be wrong, you be the one to make a stand for right, even if you stand alone. Have the courage to be a light for others to follow.

An example of this would be if your friends want to tag around school and you know its the wrong choice. In this case you should tell them that they are making a mistake, and if they don't listen to you then simply just walk away so you wouldn't be seen doing wrong things. Another way is to report something like this to a teacher immediately.
What this means is to stand up for what you believe in instead of letting others make the choice for you.The reason why Thomas Monson says "so-called friends is because if they influence you to CTW then they are not truly friends.You should choose the right when everyone else is choosing the wrong. Even if you are alone, you know that you will feed good by being a CTR person.When you CHOOSE THE RIGHT you prove to yourself that you are honest, trustworthy, and responsible !!! When someone else is doing wrong, you should encourage them to stop what they are doing.There are always 2 roads to take The best path you could ever take is the CTR path. The worst path you can go down would be CTR. Always choose the right to find true happiness.

This quote means that is you CTR you could never go wrong . But if you CTW you will make wrong choices in life and lead to failure. Ctr makes you feel like a blessed person. You will be successful is you Ctr. You will be honest, kind responsible and have alot of other great qualities.A true champion knows why they are a champion, that is choosing the right !!!A CTR character/ personality would still be the same whether they are a champ or not. A CTR person has a strong mindset and will not fall into traps of choosing the wrong !!You will do better things in life by being a Ctr champion. Reflection: What this quote means is that success isn't a random thing and its not out of luck either. It means that if you want to be successful, you have to work hard for it. The thing that contributes to being successful is being a Ctr person. When you ctr you can never be unsuccessful. Some habits along with CTR are respect, honesty, hardworking , and responsible. If you work on each one of these habits little by little everyday you will become a better person. To be hardworking you need to have goals. In order to accomplish your goals you have to persevere and not give up.If a person chooses the wrong they will end up unsuccessful & will not reach their desired goals.

If you learn to obey & accept obedience, you will CTR all the time, you wont even have to think about whether or not you should obey because it will beomce a natural instinct. You will build yourself as a better person.

Dermatologist

Reflection: I agree with this quote because it is choosing the right & if you listen then you wont disobey, if you obey the first time then you will be happy & feel like a good person because theyre will be no consequences.

Reflection: I think I would become a singer if I had the talent because they make a lot of money & have close connections with theyre fans.

Dentist

Duties and responsibilities: A dentist is known as a dental surgeon, is a doctor who specializes in the diagnosis, prevention, and treatment of diseases andf conditions of the oral cavity. Dentists also provide oral health to keep your teeth healthy and sanitary.

Salary:$149,310 median pay annual. 

Education: Doctoral or a professional degree

Reflection: I wouldnt like to be one because I dont like seeing the inside of people mouths.Also, they dont make as much pay as other careers

This quote is explaining that if you do wrong you cannot feel right because you will feel guilty & full of shame.If you do wrong you cant feel right because your choosing the wrong way to go.But if you do good then you can feel good about yourself as a person.

This quote means that if you do something that is following rules & obeying you will feel good because there will be no consequences & you feel good in yourself.You can not do bad & feel good. I agree with this quote because if you are obedient you pass the test and if you are not obedient you will fail the test because you need to do the right thing all the time.

I agree with this quote because if you obey the rules, you van be trusted more by your parents, teachers & family.Therefore they can trust you which leads to having your own freedom.One example of being disobedient is not listening to somebody even after they say no. One example of being obedient is asking for permission before you can go out with friends.

Yes I think I would like to be one because the heart is a very important muscle.

The twin towers were attacked by two planes.I don't have any memory of it at all.The first time that I heard about it was when I was in 3rd grade.

In my opinion, 9/11 was a very tragic & evil event. Many innocent people lost their lives by terrorists who were choosing the wrong.If these people would have chose the right, many people would still be alive today. I was in shock by how many people were killed & the people who were throwing themselves off the building. In total, the attacks took the lives of 2,996  and caused at least $10 billion in property damage.

Audiologist

Duties and Responsibilities: Audiologists diagnose and treat a patient’s hearing and balance problems using advanced technology and procedures.
