4. We can promote non - smoking by having campaigns to raise awareness of the effects of smoking tobacco. I believe health classes will also have to a lot to do with the progression of reducing youth tobacco smokers through education.

Reflection: It is important to become a CTR person. If you become a CTR person, then the ethics of each choice will become clear. They will each weigh in, and you will be able to realize the outcome. If you can realize the outcome, then you can make the decision easier. If the right decision is made easier, then you are more likely to choose it again. If you choose to be a CTR person, then you will definitely choose it again. If you choose the right, then the rest will follow. If you choose the right, then you are showing good character and working hard. If you are doing these things, then everyone will want to collaborate with you. What I mean by this is that choosing the right creates opportunities for the person who does this and for others. A CTR person doesn't only benefit themselves when they make this Ultimate Choice. Work opportunities are revealed, more people are brought into your life, and you help more people when they are brought into your life.

Reflection: This statement shows how beautiful character is related to peace in the world. It is a cause and effect or chain reaction. One thing leads to another, and before you know it your small gestures can lead to the bettering of the entire atmosphere of any place. If you have good character, than you show favorable traits. If you show favorable traits, then you are able to have relationships with people. As mentioned in another post, we need relationships to progress in anything. What this means is that having likeable characteristics can get more people to like you. If more people like you, then there will be more peace and progression. Peace, because you are at a nice cooperation level with the person. Progression, because more people means more opportunities. You have more people there to help you than if you have good character

Reflection: If someone has a goal, then they are more likely to get somewhere. If a person doesn't have goals, then they will have no purpose. If a person has no purpose, then they will not get far in life, and they will not be happy.  It is important to set goals so that you can achieve them, but you need to set goals that are correct. What I mean by correct is that these goals are met only by choosing the right and through constant hard work. If a person is constantly overachieving in everything they do, they are bound to end up reaching their goals. They may fail at times, but choosing the right and working hard will eventually get them to where they want to be. If a person completes the work cut out for them in order to reach their goals, then they will achieve them and everything will fall into place after that. Such things falling into place would be more opportunities, and happiness. The way to succeed is to create goals that you will achieve by choosing the right and by showing your strong work ethic.

Reflection: I agree with this quote by Dennis Prager. An individual should always have good values no matter what.Values are the set of rules we go by in our lives. It is important because our personalities will greatly depend on the quality of our values.Values are things that signify the core aspects of our self. Values will help you recover a clearer sense of what's most essential to you in life.Our values are important because they help us to grow and develop. They help us to create the future we want to experience.Without values in our lives we will not have a civilized society and we will lose all sense of meaning in our life- the two can not be separated unless we lead a corrupt life with no sense of meaning. Good values are what make up our character and contribute to our daily lives.

Reflection:This statement means that you earn more than physical rewards for doing the right things. You improve yourself as a person and that right there is the most outstanding reward one can receive.When you do the right thing you will feel good your self-esteem, integrity, dignity and self-respect will always be high and for the same reason you will always be high and forthe same reason you will feel that you done the right.The reward that someone can received for choosing the right wont always be something of financial value, but it is assured that it will always be something of immense spiritual value. Phillip Riggs is a very motivational person. He inspired me because he is a very good man. He has always worked hard all of his life, and that got him very far. He is doing what he has passion for and I look up to him because of that. He always only did things that he was interested in, and he never thought about the money. He is a very humble man, and I wish someday I can develop his good habits.He also says to give back to others. You shouldn’t always think about what you can get, but what you can give. He never really thought about himself, but what he had to give to others.

Example: If you are making a decision on whether or not to go to that party late, what is the best thing you can do? The best decision you can make should be the right one.

Reflection: I agree with this quote by Theodore Roosevelt because decisions are not easy. But in order to make the best one possible, then you need to CTR. CTR is not just a motto it is a way of life. If you always CTR you will be taken care of. However if you CTW you will make all of the wrong decisions. CTR will always lead you down the path of success and a happy heart. CTW will lead you down the path of failure and regret. If you CTR you will never have to worry about making the wrong decisions. Once you start choosing the right, you can never go wrong.

Duties and Responsibilities:The basic work of a factory worker is to operate machines in a safe manner and make sure that it meets all standards enforced by the company.

Reflection:When he decided to choose the right nothing but success followed him. Dean Smith was a basketball coach who emphasized the importance of teaching his players good character. It was not important to him whether to win or lose, because they were still winners at heart. The only thing that Dean Smith did stress was teamwork. Dean had written a letter to all on his players atleast once a year. It was either on Christmas, Birthdays, Weddings, or Special Occasions. This shows how kind of a man he was, and never has he forgot to write to any one of them, not even once.

Dean Smith chose the right throughout his life in many ways.First of all he chose the right by transforming his basketball players into men who had potential. He touched the lives of every single one of them.By doing this he also showed them the importance of playing basketball was not to win, but to try their best by working together. Dean Smith was a great man and has affected his players dearly. Dean Smith did not ask for appreciation, but those who knew him, knew that he deserved it.Dean Smith was awarded many times, but the true meaning behind all his awards is that he chose the right 24/7.

Example: If you are doing drugs/alcohol, your mind will not be mentally prepared for anything. Also, drugs can have life-lasting harmful effects on youre well being. You have to stay away from drugs to show that your body, mind, and most of all character is in good condition.

Reflection:Theodore Roosevelt is saying that we need to educate our selves in aspects of body, mind, and character, so that we make better decisions. One example can be when registering a vote, we should be prepared for making major decisions as a nation in a whole.

If the body is not healthy, the mind is not healthy either. In order to make the best decisions in life, you need to better yourself in all aspects before you can do that. You have to be a CTR person 24/7.What is most important is the character of a person, because ethics is the role that is played. Ethics are logical reasons for each side of one, and in order for one to show excellence the mind needs to be mentally in good health.

Our country needs leaders who are spiritually and mentally trained to make critical decisions for the well-being of our country. Before you can educate the country, you need to be educated yourself by making CTR decisions. We need to work together to make our country a better place. Something very important in character is who you are. You have to have good character if you want to influence or help the decisions of people that are in need. You will destine the nation in the best way possivle if you CTR. With CTR you have a strong mindset, you will be in good health, and you will have fantastic character. You will be loyal, productive, caring, humble, honest and spiritual.

LAUSD Student Services

There are may LAUSD services that are offered to students at no cost.Such of these services include summer school, online courses for learning, and internship opportunities.We should take advantage of these valuable sources & be grateful because we will not get these opportunities for the rest of our lives. The time to act is now.

LAUSD services are a wonderful thing that can help students with their academic goals. For example, if you are having a hard time understanding a subject, you can just go to their website and sign up.

Another thing that would be very useful for students is applying for a scholarship ! A scholarship can help you get into college, making it easier for economic struggles. LAUSD services provide much support for student life. I plan to continue using the resources that are given to us for guidance throughout my high school education.

However, if you are doing something bad you should be brave about it and stop immediately.If you are a courageous individual, then you can keep choosing the right. Choosing the right is when you do the right thing all the time.If you are not choosing the right, you will do what you shouldn't do. If you are CTR person then you should have the courage to say no to bad things.We have to stand for the right thing, even if we are standing alone. CTR gives us braveness, to not fear bad things.It is important to make you're best effort at choosing the right even if you sin sometimes.This is very important because it will make you a better person inside and out. CTR isn't just a motto, it is everyday life for us. If you are starting something wonderful, then you should continue it no matter what. But if you are doing something that is not choosing the right, you need to find the courage to put an immediate stop to it.If you start with CTR in mind, you will always end with CTR in mind. You can never go wrong with CHOOSING THE RIGHT !!!

Class Evaluation

One thing I really enjoyed about this class this semester was that were learned to type efficiently and quickly.I also enjoy that there is such a wonderful teacher guiding us through each assignment, and how we can be better people, so that we can CTR 24/7. It is a good class with a good atmosphere and we learn something new all the time. One thing that I slightly disliked is that we do the same thing every day, without anything interesting or fun to it. I do know that school isn't about fun and games most of the time, but it wouldn't hurt to add new assignments to the agenda. However, I do enjoy when Haymore rewards us with free time when our behavior is splendid.

I can honestly say that I tried very hard in this class. I put my best thoughts into all my reflections in our Student Success Statements. At times, I would get off task, maybe by checking my phone or talking, but I always got my work done. I don't like to let any distractions distract me from being successful, so I try my hardest to ignore my peers that are trying to get in the way of me doing work that is well-done.

Lastly, I feel that I am truly committed to being a CTR person, because ever since I came into this class, I already feel the goodness and purity within my heart. It doesn't matter who is watching or not, when you do good you feel good. I also learned that there can be rewards along with choosing the right. The best things come to you when you least expect it because people know when you are an honest, kind person. Choosing the right isn't just a motto, it's a way of life.The life that I'm living now, thanks to CTR, is better than when I didn't know about CTR.I didn't know that being good can benefit you in many ways. I've learned to be honest, humble, kind, responsible, and many more desirable traits. I would like to take this moment to thank Mr. Haymore for being such a kind teacher and leader, by leading me into this better state of mind. I have felt great ever since I chose to CTR !!

An example of this quote would be if you're parents are going out of town for a week, and you are responsible enough to not throw a party or drink with your friends.Another example would be if you're dad asks you to save some money for him and you spend it, then you could not be trusted

This quote means that if you are responsible, fair, and a CTR person everyone will be able to trust you. If you disobey these rules, you will not be trusted.Being trustworthy means that you have to trust yourself.You should always tell the truth to be trusted.Even if you make a mistake, fix it and don't do it again. You should take responsibility for your actions, even if is difficult.Being reliable means to display a sense of loyalty.

If you are committed to doing your very best, it doesn't matter if you win or lose something, all that matters is that you put in full effort to work to that goal.Also, if you treat people with respect and kindness, you will be treated the same way. Before you say something to someone, think about if that is the way you'd like someone to speak to you, then say it.
